SPOILERS: Avengers 4 Casting Vision and Scarlet Witch’s Kids
Avengers 4 is still more than a year away and we’ve seen a lot of things that has been drastically changed after whatever the hell happens in Avengers: Infinity War. Today we take a look at another potential spoiler from the film’s casting sheets as it seems like we’ll be having Young Avengers in the mix too.
Comicbook.com reports that there’s been a casting call for twins for the film. The casting crew is looking for 2 year old twins in a project they called “Mary Lou”.
Given that there’s a budding relationship between Vision (Paul Bettany) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) it’s only fair game for fans to put two and two together. It’s a scary thought though as this could lead to more potentially tumultuous storylines if Marvel Studios continues to press forward past Avengers 4.
You see in the comics, Scarlet Witch and Vision didn’t just become a couple, they were married. The MCU is slowly teasing fans of this connection as evidenced by Vision’s save in Age of Ultron and their tete-a-tete in the airport segment of Captain America: Civil War.
We’ve also seen in Civil War the blossoming romance between the two. But going back to the comics, they had kids. Not just one kid, they had twins! There were a lot of Avengers issues too that featured Magneto’s former daughter as pregnant…
Plus she eventually gives birth to their twins namely Tommy and William.
But it turns out that those kids were only created out of Wanda’s subconscious together with her reality-altering mutant powers/ hex probability stuff…
This was later one of the factors that drove Scarlet Witch mad and conveniently set up Avengers Disassembled…
… where her machinations led to She-Hulk going mad and tearing Vision in half…
This also led to House of M, where she and her twin brother Quicksilver reshape the world to make mutants the dominant race with Magneto being the number one guy for the world.
… and where Scarlet famously uttered “No More Mutants”…
As for the kids? They eventually find new bodies and actually become members of the short-lived Young Avengers. Billy (William) even had a nice moment with his “mom” in that book.
So you see dear readers, there’s just so much that happens and so much potential for just the appearance of these twins in Avengers 4. Not counting on anything other than a bit appearance but it launches a whole world of potential storyline for the MCU as a whole. Who knows, we may event get to see a HOUSE OF M done with Disney in talks once again with Fox. Remember, the first one kinda fell through the cracks, so lets see how this second round goes.
