Batman / TMNT II is Happening and with Bane as Main Baddie
DC Comics and IDW Publishing is teaming up Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Batman / TMNT II which will ship December 2017.
The project not only brings back the pairing of the two iconic brands, it’s going to expand the characters that will be making an appearance. The main villain for this series as I mentioned in the title would be Bane and it’s not like he stumbled upon the Turtles’ dimension. The story goes that Donatello went looking for Batman via a portal but rather than getting Bruce Wayne’s alter ego, he inadvertently called in Bane.
Batman/TMNT II will be written by James Tynion IV with art by Freddie E. Williams III. Issue ` will be released December 6 in both print and digital format while issue # 2 will be available by December 20.
IDW President and COO, Greg Goldstein says:
The original crossover between Batman and the Turtles was met with such positive enthusiasm from the fans, that it was only a matter of time before their paths crossed again. Fans have themselves to thank for making this a reality, yet again, and we’re confident that we can deliver the goods to meet their expectations with our talented creative team returning for round two.
DC SVP Editorial Strategy & Administration, Hank Kanalz says:
What DC and IDW started with Batman/TMNT in 2015 continues to spark interest with fans of these characters that have worldwide recognition. We can’t wait to see what James and Freddie deliver this time around.
