Balut Gets Featured in New Episode of Ben 10

MANILA, June 28, 2017 — Everyone’s favorite Pinoy street food is set to make an appearance on Ben 10! That’s right, Balut gets the spotlight in an upcoming episode of Ben 10!

Ben and his cousin Gwen have a taste of the infamous balut in the latest episode of the Cartoon Network show, which debuts at 4:45pm on Saturday, July 1.

In the episode, Ben and his cousin, Gwen, go to a food festival where the duo race to try some bizarre yet delicious Asian dishes such as thousand-year-old egg. Although, when it comes to the chilled balut Gwen claimed it was the “weirdest”!

It’s not the first time Cartoon Network has featured Filipino food. In the Season 4 finale of Steven Universe, one of the characters, Lars Barriga, baked an ube roll, when asked to prepare a dish that would best represent himself.

Ben 10 is about a boy with the ability to transform into 10 different aliens. Together with his grandfather and cousin, the trio team up to stop evildoers and fight crime. Catch new episodes of Ben 10 every Saturday, 4:45pm only on Cartoon Network.
