MAYDAY! An Ice Age: Collision Course Review
It’s another BIG flick for the Ice Age gang and what better way it is to face your girl’s entrance into a relationship than to pair it off with an impending apocalypse!
We have a whole new cast for this movie, together with recurring characters such as Manny/Manfred the Wooly Mammoth played by Ray Romano, Queen Latifah as Ellie, Manny’s wife, Keke Palmer as Peaches, Manny and Ellie’s daughter, Crash and Eddie, Ellie’s twin foster opposum brothers, played by Sean William Scott and Josh Peck respectively, John Leguizamo as Sid the Sloth, Wanda Sykes as Granny, Sid’s grandmother, Denis Leary as Diego the Smilodon/Saber-toothed Tiger, Jennifer Lopez as Shira, Diego’s wife, and of course who could forget the one who started all these mess, Chris Wedge as Scrat, the Saber-toothed squirrel. We also have notable names such as Adam DeVine (Pitch Perfect 1 & 2) playing as Julian, Peaches’ fiance, returning character Simon Pegg as Buck the weasel, and of course, Jessie J playing as Brooke, the Geotopian sloth who falls in love with Sid (SMH). Jessie J would also be singing the movie’s OST.
Ice Age has again stepped up its game, depicting the usual transition of parent life: seeing your kid grow up, spending time with him/her, then all of a sudden he/she is all grown up and ready to take the next challenge of his/her life, marriage. For the record, this might be a “prehistoric” movie, considering its about a Herd of prehistoric animals living, surviving together but the references are without a doubt very millenial! It’s really a fun experience to watch!
Team Fanboy encourages everyone to catch this flick ASAP! A great movie to watch with families and friends, it is a MUST WATCH! Ice Age: Collision Course is scheduled for viewing this July 6, 2016! Get your tickets now and experience Ice Age all over again!
