Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs Return in New Comic Series from Lion Forge Comics
Lion Forge Comics will be releasing a new volume of Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs with the first issue hitting this week.
The comic book will be an adaptation of the anime of the same title. That means the same stories in print/ digital format. No new stories for this group of space heroes.
Lion Forge has also revealed that after the first issue’s release on March 16, they plan to release monthly installments of the book which has a price tag of $2.99.
The book will be written by Mairghread Scott (Transformers, G.I. Joe) with art by Sendol Arts. The publisher describes the series as:
With humanity settling the outer reaches of the galaxy in a new frontier, pioneers are kept safe by the Star Sheriffs, an elite law enforcement agency led by chief weapons designer April Eagle. When top-gun Saber Rider steps in to stop a train robbery, he finds a reluctant new ally in the shifty bounty hunter Colt and a clue to the whereabouts of a notorious traitor who might be helping the enemy Outriders. The action never lets up from there.
Studio Pierrot aired the original TV anime series under the name Seijuushi Bismarck in Japan in 1984. World Events Productions(WEP) reworked the series for the U.S. market, and it still holds the rights to the property.
What I’m truly waiting for is the comic book appearance of the team’s mech, Ramrod. Check out the rest of the preview pages below.
