Superboy Reunites with Impulse, Robin Meets Amethyst (Young Justice # 1)
Still more awesome stuff happening in the pages of DC Comics’ Young Justice # 1 by Brian Michael Bendis and Patrick Gleason!
So during an invasion of warriors from Gemworld in Metropolis, the members of this new iteration of Young Justice band together to stop them from hurting people. This includes Robin, Wonder Girl, Teen Lantern, Jinny Hex and Bart Allen aka Impulse. The manages to beat back the invaders and they follow them to Gemworld as they retreat.
Interestingly enough, most of the members aren’t so keen in bringing the Young Justice team back without Connor Kent.
They get split up all around Gemworld. Robin is separated from the team and meets Amethyst…
And then we end the issue as Superboy reunites with Impulse, albeit in slow dramatic pace.
How did he grow a beard? And why does his jacket have a thorns that form the “S” Shield? And was Conner Kent in Gemworld the whole time?
