Johnnie Walker and Game of Thrones Collab to Release the White Walker

Here’s an interesting collaboration thats worth mentioning across the seven kingdoms. Johnnie Walker and HBO’s Game of Thrones have collaborated to release the epic sounding White Walker drink.

I kid you not, this one’s truly epic in scale. Its got hints of both the Johnnie Walker Black and Gold all fused to make a drink as cold as the dead outside the wall.

The event wasnt as drab as Dorne as we get some laughs here and there by the ambassador for JW, Nico Bolzico.

The event was split into two parts. The first part was inside the top floor or Run Rabbit Run in Makati where they officially launch the new product for the media in attendance.

This was where most of us in attendance also got to try out the White Walker, as ominous as it sounds.

 

The second part of the program was when we were brought outside to the bar’s veranda area to try out the mixes that could be done with the newly formulated drink.

Known by their icy blue eyes and led by the Night King, the undead army of White Walkers have emerged from the Frozen North with a limited-edition whisky that evokes their icy world. Created by whisky specialist George Harper alongside the small team of expert blenders at Johnnie Walker, this innovative whisky is best served directly from the freezer at 1.5 degrees and develops layers of flavour as it warms to room temperature.

From the bottle to the blend, White Walker by Johnnie Walker draws inspiration from the winters North of the Wall. The bottle’s icy white and blue design is the perfect backdrop for the iconic Johnnie Walker Striding Man now fashioned in armor to fit in among the ranks of the Night King’s forces. Plus, utilizing temperature-sensitive ink technology, fans will be reminded that “Winter is Here” from an unexpected icy reveal on the bottle when frozen.

It’s a great, easy-drinking whisky featuring notes of caramelized sugar and vanilla and fresh red berries with a touch of orchard fruit – creating a polished, sweet taste with a fruity twist. It features Single Malts from Cardhu and Clynelish, two of Scotland’s northernmost distilleries which have endured long, Scottish winters that are not dissimilar to the long periods endured by those who have ventured north of the wall.

Breaking the long anticipation on the limited-edition blend’s release, Johnnie Walker revealed White Walker by Johnnie Walker last December 6. Winter has come in what used to be the quaint and cozy Run Rabbit Run in Poblacion, Makati, completely transforming the cocktail hub into a wintry blue cavern, drawing references from the ice and wood elements of the Frozen North. This set the backdrop for a dramatic reveal led by newly-minted Johnnie Walker Brand Ambassador Nico Bolzico.
