Converse x Ultraman to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Heads up Otakus, the good folks at Converse just released an upcoming photo featuring a pair that commemorates Ultraman’s 50th Anniversary.

Converse has announced the sale of three different pairs of Ultraman related kicks featuring the likeness or at least a reference to classics monsters like Eleking and Baltan. Lets take a look at each one!

Ultraman comes in the classic All Star R HI. It ships with Ultraman’s classic colors with the blue patch on the left and a red patch on the right, commemorating that classic Ultraman power indicator. The soles will also feature the likeness of our favorite giant good guy…

Converse X Ultraman All Star Baltan

The All Star Baltan will feature the iconic lobster’s color scheme as well as the likeness for the inside soles. It’s low cut though and the unique selling point would have to be that Baltan-inspired crest at the top of the shoe.

Converse x Ultraman All Star Eleking

Its another hi-cut All star with the biggest difference is the fact that it glows in the dark. Much like how Eleking is about electricity and illumination, the shoes literally glow in the dark.

Talk about getting your money’s worth. These are of course exclusive to Japan and will be released in July for between ¥8,500 to ¥9,500.
