Here’s another new entrant in the affordable-but-solid earphone category: the TOZO Aerosound. Check out my TOZO Aerosound review below.
If you’re looking for a moderately priced and dependable earphone, then the TOZO Aerosound is definitely for you. Let’s start things off in this review with one of the biggest selling points for me anyway and that’s the Aerosound’s Noise Cancellation, which goes on a sort of hybrid system for ANC or Active Noise Cancelling. This can reduce the noise up to 45 decibels and works extremely well when you’re commuting, as it “mutes” the noise, dropping it down to a level where it’s no longer irritating, especially on those long and boring MRT rides where there’s chatter everywhere, and people LOVE to play their videos at the highest volume.
From the onset, let me tell you that the Aerosound has a cap in terms of the level of sound quality that it can provide. If you’re that type of music lover already swimming in the S-ranks and considering yourself a true-blue audiophile then this may not be your thing. But if you’re anything other than that, then this is perfect. TOZO has already made a name for itself as a brand whose products have a crisp treble and “punchy” bass, and you can definitely get that with everything you use the product.
While I’m a big alternative and rock fan, I do indulge in other genres, and so far, the TOZO Aerosound works well for EDM and Hip-Hop music or anything that has a lot of bass and beats on it.
As I mentioned earlier, the product is really good for casual listeners, and that’s who they really cater to.
The TOZO Aerosound is also one of those products that comes with a certain level of EQ customization. You can customize your EQ using the TOZO app available on the Apple and Google Play Store, which comes with a total of 30+ preset EQs. Check out some of those presets below…
You can also do a lot of custom tuning, which is something you don’t normally do on products around the same price range; usually, it’s just the presets, and those are also limited to a handful, but with TOZO, there’s just a lot you can do.
Design
The actual buds for the TOZO Aerosound are actually comfortable and at the same time look durable enough as your daily driver. You also get the choice of the right ear tip to use, depending on the size of your ears.
And since this is a promising product as your daily driver, you also need one that can resist sweat and water. Fortunately, we also get that with the Aerosound as it comes with IPX6 water resistance. So you can go out and do your running or hit the gym or even get stuck in the rain.
The case also looks great and has this premium vibe without the actual heavy price point. I’m a big fan of the LCD in the front of the case which helps display the remaining juice available.
Calls, Performance and other Media
The Aerosound also comes with the ability to take calls however, I have to warn you that the call quality isn’t that great as it gets muffled even when its already running on Bluetooth 5.3.
Another great thing about the TOZO Aerosound is that it has a really long battery life which can last for a total of 55 hours working together with the case. This also assures you that you can use this on days on end before even having the need to charge. There’s also fast charging and wireless charging support built into this.
