Forgotten Island follows lifelong best friends Jo and Raissa, whose final night together takes an unexpected turn when they are transported to Nakali, a mystical island filled with creatures inspired by the Filipino folklore they grew up hearing from their families. Their journey home forces them to confront a difficult choice that could mean losing the memories that bind their friendship.
The film marks DreamWorks Animation’s first animated feature centered on Philippine mythology and culture. Through the world of Nakali, Forgotten Island introduces Filipino folklore and mythical creatures to a global audience while exploring themes of friendship, family, memory, and growing apart.
