After being the Internet darling since Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings came out, looks like some people online found some rather controversial online posts by actor Simu Liu relating to the subject of gender and race.
So it looks like they were either intentionally looking for dirt to throw Liu’s way or somebody just remembered something and traced it back. Either way, it just looks like a little taint on the rising’s star’s path. Check out the stuff that was found online reportedly from the Kim’s Convenience star’s old reddit account.

Remember this was the same thing that happened to The Suicide Squad director James Gunn years ago when they dug up his old (and definitely mean and awful tweets) and made it public. This prompted Disney and Marvel Studios to cut ties with the director. Which I also think was a blessing in disguise because he ended up with Warner Bros Pictures and DC Comics where they offered The Suicide Squad and that movie was lit. Don’t believe me? Check out my The Suicide Squad review for more reasons why.
Meanwhile “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is still playing in theaters abroad and has generated good buzz. The film was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and also stars Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh and Fala Chen.
