Here’s my OPPO Reno15 F 5G review which features 7000mAh battery, IP69 waterproofing, 50MP selfie camera and more! The OPPO Reno15 F 5G is now available with SRP and available through online stores and OPPO stores nationwide!
OPPO Reno15 F 5G Unboxing
Display
The OPPO Reno15 F 5G comes with a6.57″ OLED display with a Full HD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate (adaptive). It also features a 92.8% screen-to-body ratio that’s bigger than most screens that have the same display size and also means you get more screen than phone and bezel.
In terms of creature comfort and convenience, the Reno15 F 5G offers “Splash Touch” which works hand-in-hand with the IP69 rating for the phone also known as it’s waterproof capabilities and also has “Glove Touch” meaning you can still operate the phone’s screen even when wearing a glove perfect for people on the go or people working with gloves most of the time.
You can also toggle between different refresh rates, particularly from 60Hz to 120Hz.
Design
OPPO’s latest smartphone comes in different colorways for you to choose from, particularly Aurora Blue and Twilight Blue. You can also expect to get Aurora Vitality Aesthetic Design, which has a very interesting word play going on in the description, but it simply means it’s got a different shine pattern on it, as well as on the camera module at the back.

It’s also IP69-rated, making it splash- and dust-proof.

Camera

The phone’s camera is good. While it’s under the budget-friendly realm, the camera is still good. If anything, you can actually think of this as a teaser for what the entire OPPO Reno series can do. The OPPO Reno15 F 5G comes with a 50MP main camera, an Ultrawide camera, and a macro camera, which essentially covers everything you’ll need in a smartphone.

Shooting lowlight is also decent…

There’s also some interesting filters on the phone, including an improved “Food Filter” which highlights textures and color of food.

There are also more filters for you to choose from.
The night mode on this one ranges from really impressive to OK. You can actually feel that they were trying to give fans and users more creativity tools for mobile photography. The zoom for this was ho-hum for me but again, this is the F version, the budget friendly version so there are some limitations.
The front camera comes with a 50MP ultrawide front camera. Here are some sample shots using the portrait mode as well as the normal photo mode using the Reno15 F’s front camera.

The bokeh effect on the portrait mode is spot on and will make you remember the good old times when it was such a sharp addition to any mobile phone’s arsenal. The actual selfies using the regular photo mode are also sharp and slick. The colors aren’t overdone, and the details get captured quite well, which tracks back to the 50MP camera itself.
UI/UX
The OPPO Reno15 F 5G comes with Android 16 running concurrently with the MagicOS 16. It has all the new stuff you can expect from Android 16 and more.
You’ll also be able to choose from variants for the Reno15 F 5G. For this review, I was given the 512GB storage variant and that means I get to store more photos, videos which also comes in handy for content creators like me.

The processing power is also fine and smooth thanks to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 offering precise and seamless movement while using the phone.
Performance
I also put the Reno15 F 5G on a couple of benchmarking tools, and here are the results:

Battery

In terms of battery life and attributes, the Reno15 F 5G has a big package with 7000mAh, making this phone a beast to bring along, whether it’s for school or work. It’s also great for bringing out for the summer vacation that’s looming around the corner.
There’s also fast charging on this smartphone.
Gaming

Just like the previous Reno versions including the OPPO Reno14 from last year, the OPPO Reno15 F 5G is very gaming friend, gamer friendly. I was already assuming that it would have hiccups when playing games like MOBA
Final Thoughts
The OPPO Reno15 F 5G sets up a good feel and idea for what the OPPO Reno15 series is. While it may be the most budget-friendly among this new slew of OPPO Reno products, it does check all the necessary stuff people look for in a good smartphone. The camera is good and so is the UI and UX. It’s also got some nifty new and/or update AI functions, has a great display that’s just about the right size and has a battery that kicks every other brand’s ass as of this writing. The price isn’t that bad too with the SRP of 23,999 (Online Exclusive Variant).
