OML takes to the road and finds himself somewhere up north. During this time we find out what happened after he massacred the X-Men in his timeline and dimension.
According to his narration after his failed suicide, he decides to kill off the Wolverine once and for all and buries his costume as proof that its all over for him.
He wanders the world while society collapsed and the villains took over the world. And when his heartstrings call for home, he ventures back to Canada, specifically to the Weapon X facility where he meets these guys…
Survivors who made this place their home. Unfortunately for Logan, these guys don’t take kindly to strangers so they proceed to beat him up… bad..
Good thing a familiar lady steps in and interferes.
In the present, Logan manages to find a temporary job where he blends in nicely.
Its also there that he bonds with the local wildlife until a chance encounter with a young girl who apparently also loves animals.
In OML’s past the woman and Logan are acquianted and its revealed that her name is Maureen…
We cut back to the present where its revealed that Logan is actually interacting with the younger version of his dead wife.
Creepy old bastard is stalking the child version of his wife. Ugh. Still there are technicalities, but its borderline creepy I tell you.
Old Man Logan # 5 ends with the dog getting killed and the killers are apparently after Logan. We find out in the last page that these assailants are led by Mariko Yashida aka Lady Deathstrike.
