Marvel has dropped some big details about their new Midnight Universe alternate universe books including creators involve and actual titles making their debut in this new horror-themed world.
Here’s what Marvel wrote for their announcement of the titles under the Midnight imprint
The light had its turn.
Marvel Comics introduces Midnight, a bold new publishing line from a superstar lineup of creators, kicking off in August with ‘Midnight X-Men’ by Jonathan Hickman and Matteo Della Fonte, followed by ‘Midnight Fantastic Four’ by Benjamin Percy and Kev Walker and ‘Midnight Spider-Man’ by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Scie Tronc.
Dark. Unpredictable. Unmissable. The Midnight Universe draws in longtime fans and newcomers alike to enter a terrifying new world where anything can happen. Interconnected by rich lore-building, Marvel’s most definitive modern creators are given free rein to reimagine heroes with shocking twists and chilling transformations in boundary-less storytelling that will keep readers on edge issue after issue.
The X-Men no longer fight for acceptance, they hunger for blood. The Fantastic Four venture into the unknown not to save the world—but to unleash terror upon it. And Spider-Man discovers that with great power… comes something monstrous.

We also have the Midnight Fantastic Four

While we don’t have any promotional art for Midnight Spider-Man and Midnight Fantastic Four, we do get to see some art for Midnight X-Men. First we have the announcement image/photo…

So it looks like Nightcrawler will take the center stage for this book where he’s a swordsman priest and that fits perfectly since were also dealing with a vampire Storm…

Is this something that gets your interest or is is a big stinking L for Marvel considering they ended their Ultimate Universe line and started this new imprint which kind of follows what DC Comics did with their Absolute Universe which is kicking ass and earning a good dollar with fans.
