Square Enix continues to maintain it’s speed in hyping its upcoming Final Fantasy release with a new Final Fantasy VII Revelation trailer which debuted at gamescom 2026!

The new trailer skips the formalities and goes straight into what we should expect from the game. In terms of lore and story, the trailer also sheds some light on the giant creatures that have popped out which are now designated as “Weapons”. The trailer actually took the time give a title card to each weapon namely Ruby Weapon, Emerald Weapon and Ultima Weapon.

Of course this is a far cry from what they looked like in the original Final Fantasy VII game all those decades ago. So its quite refreshing to see these three weapons getting the visual upgrades they deserve.
The Weapons trailer also showcased the new combat system called “Fits” which they’ll be introducing in this game particularly Tifa who transforms into a healer complete with curative magic.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation is set for release for Spring 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC, wrapping up the Final Fantasy VII trilogy
