DC K.O. # 1 Spoilers – Absolute introductions

Let’s do a rundown of all the big moments from DC K.O. # 1 written by Scott Snyder and art by Javi Fernandez!

There are two things on this post’s agenda, one is talking about that not-really-a-suprise-but-oh-my-god-its-still-surprising moment that I want to call the Absolute introduction. After the tournament’s first round and most of the heroes who volunteered have died, the heart of the omega, who is apparently also this issue’s narrator, turns in a nasty surprise that awaits our heroes (and villains)…

And that’s the eventual appearance of Absolute Superman, Absolute Batman and Absolute Wonder Woman who have apparently become Darkseid’s champions in this tournament. Sadly, we don’t see them on full display rather just the bottom half of their body. The rest still covered in darkness.

My big question here though is why they’ve suddenly become soldiers working for Darkseid when all three of them have been fighting for freedom and peace throughout their books. It doesn’t look like we’ll have our answers anytime soon because DC K.O. is just underway.

The second biggest spoiler that we need to talk about is the fact that Darkseid is already ready for the heroes and ready for whoever becomes the champion of this tournament. Apparently, he’s already been waiting for this to happen and has already taken root inside Booster Gold…

I wasn’t really surprised at this reveal especially since it was kind of telegraphed already by the end of the DC All-In book. You stay around in a universe run, you’re bound to get influenced one way or another. I wonder how this will impact the story and what big twist Scott Snyder has for the Justice League gang.

Also you just have to love the art on this book whether its the cover…
