Founding Avenger Becomes new Venom Host (Absolute Carnage # 3 spoiler)
A founding member of the Avengers becomes the newest Venom host in the final page of Absolute Carnage # 3 by Ryan Stegman and Donny Cates.
Before we proceed a little spoiler warning.
After escaping his encounter with Carnage with Mac Gargan aka Scorpion, Eddie Brock returns to his not so secret hideout where he finds Spider-Man together with a bunch of heroes who have all bonded with the Venom symbiote.
And there’s also Bruce Banner who proudly states that he has never been a symbiote host before.
Banner is there to pick up the slack that the Maker has left behind and also to confirm that the codex that Carnage is looking for in Normie Osborn is no longer present.
With the process all but ready, Captain America goes through the process first. And while that is happening, Spider-Man goes for a little talk with Eddie. Only, its not Eddie Brock that he’s been speaking to but rather Carnage in disguise.
Venom and Spidey fight for their lives again and they even get through Norman Osborn, whom Carnage was eager to get early in the story.
Because Carnage now knows of Eddie’s kid, he has leverage over his “dad”, and that derails Venom. The symbiote makes a hasty decision and looks for the strongest host to bond with, leaving Eddie defenseless.
The symbiote ditches Spider-Man as a new host and instead opts to go for the strongest one there is, Bruce Banner aka The Incredible Hulk.
This is the symbiote Hulk’s first appearance.
And we also know that Carnage actually felt every strike that Hulk dishes out.
