It’s Avengers vs X-Men again in Avengers # 21

The X-Men and the Avengers are once again going to blows with each other as seen in the upcoming Avengers # 21 by Jed McKay and artist Valerio Schiti.

Oh right, Storm passed on the chance of joining the multiple X-Men teams and instead acquiesced on Captain America (Sam Wilson)’s request for her to join the Avengers.

And mind you this isn’t the first time Storm joined the Avengers or the Fantastic Four neither.

But the bigger question here is what exactly caused the two teams to fight once again? The Avengers were late in taking down ORCHIS during the Fall of X event and weren’t even really helping out the mutants in any form when the resistance X-Men operated to take out ORCHIS. Iron Man was kind of there however especially since he ended up marrying Emma Frost in the Iron Man books. But the rest wasn’t really that helpful.

Cyclops and his team of X-Men have however taken refuge in Alaska and has used an abandoned ORCHIS base as their new HQ all the while having a Sentinel in the background as a “reminder to the Alaskan town that the X-Men were there to help them”.
