According to McFarlane Toys, the Batman Forever Robin figure is now open for pre-orders now and is part of the wave which also has Val Kilmer’s Batman, Tommy Lee Jones’ Two Face and Jim Carrey’s The Riddler.
O’Donnell plays a slightly grown up Dick Grayson in this film, a young man that Bruce Wayne takes in after the latter witnessed the death of the former’s parents during a circus performance. During his time in Wayne Manor, he ends up finding out the secret identity of Batman, steals the Batmobile, grows up a little bit and becomes his sidekick, Robin. The two team up to take down the duo of The Riddler and Two-Face.
And yes, you read that right, the four figures that came out for this wave will have bonus parts that you can use to build the Nightmare Bat figure, the giant bat that made a quick appearance in the final cut of Batman Forever. In fact, here’s the deleted scene which features more of the Nightmare Bat.
Batman Forever is a 1995 American superhero film directed by Joel Schumacher and produced by Tim Burton, based on the DC Comics character Batman by Bob Kane and Bill Finger.[a] The third installment of Warner Bros.’ initial Batman film series, it is a sequel to Batman Returns starring Val Kilmer, replacing Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne / Batman,[6] alongside Jim Carrey, Tommy Lee Jones, Nicole Kidman, and Chris O’Donnell, while Michael Gough, and Pat Hingle reprise their roles. The film’s story focuses on Batman trying to stop Two-Face and the Riddler in their scheme to extract information from all the minds in Gotham City while adopting an orphaned acrobat named Dick Grayson—who becomes his sidekick, Robin—and developing feelings for psychologist Dr. Chase Meridian.
