Like A Dragon: Yakuza Live Action series coming Prime Video starting October 2024
Amazon Prime Video or Prime Video PH locally will be releasing the just-announced Like A Dragon: Yakuza live action series starring Kamen Rider Drive’s Ryoma Takeuchi.
According to reports the first season will be composed of six episodes and will follow most of the plot of the first Yakuza game.
As mentioned before, Kamen Rider Drive star Ryoma Takeuchi will be playing the popular Kiryu Kazuma aka the Dragon of Dojima as he returns to the Yakuza family after being incarcerated for years and now he must deal with the biggest betrayal of his life from some of his closest friends and allies.
The series will be directed by “The Naked Director” Masaharu Take. The announcement was done in Hotel Gajoen Tokyo where the press conference was also held.
The first part of the season will drop October 25 while the second half would come November 1.
I’m more curious on how this would pan out considering the show operates on two periods namely 1995 and 2005 after Kiryu’s release from prison.
Anyway the game series continues to fly high with the most recent release getting good scores.
