Wolverine and X-Factor books coming August 2024
Marvel officially announces more new X-books coming under the “from the ashes” era aka post-Krakoa X-Men era namely a new volume of Wolverine and a new X-Factor book.

Well, obviously we’ll be getting a new Wolverine book that would be coming out September 2024. We don’t have a creative team yet but hopefully Marvel drops more information soon. My thought here however is that they should have timed it with the release of Deadpool & Wolverine from Marvel Studios for a little bit more synergy. According to Marvel, this book will be seeing Wolverine turning his back on everything from humanity to his mutant family and everything in between with the first arc most likely set in the Canadian wilderness where Logan ultimately ends up facing an “ancient evil”.
Next we have the teaser for X-Factor
It kind of harkens back to the original motto and goal of the X-Factor book which starred the original 5 X-Men namely Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Iceman, Angel and Beast where they “hunt” mutants but in reality rescue them and keep them safe somewhere else.
The good thing here is that we get more details about this book and a first look at what could be the first issue’s cover.

Mark Russell and artist Bob Quinn will write the new book and will feature characters that have a history with X-Factor namely Havok and Angel who will be co-captains for this group. We will also see reformed criminal mutants like Pyro and Frenzy and Feral will also be here. While the X-Men’s mission forces them to work outside the law, certain teams have found ways to fight for mutant rights within the system as officially sanctioned strike forces!
“The thing I’ve always loved about the X-Men is that they’re characters first, Super Heroes second,” Russell shared. “So being able to write characters like Havok and Angel and Frenzy in a post-Krakoa reality is an opportunity to write about what I really care about, which is how do we help each other survive the apathy of the world we live in?”
“It’s so exciting to be back and drawing mutants in the X-Men universe again, and doubly exciting to work with Mark again,” Quinn added. “To my mind, Mark’s mix of humor and ability to shine a light on the peculiarities of modern society make him the perfect writer to tackle the relaunch of X-FACTOR. Drawing this team and every unexpected twist and turn of the story has been a blast so far, and I can’t wait for readers to get their hands on it.”
This would be the third batch of X-books announced following previously announced titles like X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, X-Force, Jean Grey/ Phoenix and more!
