New Fallout TV series poster follows game’s theme and vibe

Here’s a look at the new Fallout poster starring Ella Purnell, Walter Goggins and more! Coming soon to Prime Videos/ Amazon Prime!

Fallout Synopsis

In a future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles brought about by nuclear decimation, citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants and bandits.

The series is produced and will be available on Amazon Prime or Prime Video here in the Philippines and will star Ella Purnell who plays the character Lucy, a resident of one of the vaults set to protect humanity after nuclear war. Just like in the games, she awakes centuries after the bombs dropped and explores a post-apocalyptic world where anything and everything is dangerous.

I love several things for this Fallout poster namely the live action but classic pose taken directly from the game as well as from other posters from 50s Americana culture.

I loved the Nuka Cola reference which was the game’s softdrink of choice. Nuka Cola bottle caps are also the main money for the game.

It also gives us another look albeit far away from the Pip Boy for the TV series which, I won’t lie, is something I really want to have. In the games though, the Pip Boy is the HUD for players to use for a bunch of reasons whether to look at the map during exploration as well as the improve their stats in the game.

The Fallout franchise is a post-apocalyptic RPG created by Tim Cain of Interplay Entertainment. The games were set during the 21st and later 23rd Century and has this “atompunk, retrofuturistic” setting and art style. The first game was developed by Black Isle Studios and was released in 1997. The sequel, Fallout 2 was released in 1998, followed by Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel in 2004.

Fallout 3 was picked up by Bethesda Softworks and was released in 2008 originally for the PC but later ported over to the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Obsidian Entertainment then released Fallout: New Vegas which was released on October 2010 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. the game is set in a post-apocalyptic open-world environment that encompasses a region consisting of parts of Arizona, California, and Nevada. It is set in a world that deviated onto an alternate timeline thanks to Atomic Age technology, which eventually led to a global nuclear apocalypse in the year 2077 in an event referred to as “The Great War”, caused by a major conflict between the U.S. and China over natural resources. The main story of New Vegas takes place in the year 2281, four years after the events of Fallout 3 and 204 years after the bombs fell.

Fallout 4 was the last of the main series games that came out in 2015 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game is set within an open world post-apocalyptic environment that encompasses the city of Boston and the surrounding Massachusetts region known as “The Commonwealth”.
