First Look at Bill Skarsgard as The Crow
A new The Crow movie is coming out soon and it will star Bill Skarsgard as the titular goth hero.
Yes, Pennywise from the two It movies will take over the iconic role of Brandon Lee.
According to reports, the film aims to offer an authentic reinterpretation of the original’s emotional power and mythology.
It will also star FKA Twigs as the main love interest.
Last thing that’s been revealed is that it will be pushing the “John Wick” verse movie “The Ballerina”. So we get this before we return to the world of assassins and The Continental.
Honestly, I’m not a fan at all of the remake version. It’s not as intimidating nor as gothic as what Brandon Lee’s version was.
I’d like to compare these two to Heath Ledger’s Joker and Jared Leto’s Joker.
Of course I could be wrong and it ends up being actually good but the visuals aren’t appealing and it’s certainly not interesting for me. I guess I have to wait for the trailer and I hope that changes my mind.
The original Crow movie was released in 1994 and was directed by Alex Proyas. It followed the comic book faithfully but was also the same movie that took away the life of Bruce Lee’s Brandon Lee who died of a gunshot from a live round fired at him during production.
Some years ago, Aquaman star Jason Momoa was attached to star in a remake of the film before it ultimately broke down.
Meanwhile Skarsgard has been actively appearing in action movies as he was the main villain in John Wick 4 and had a short appearance as the character Zeitgeist in Deadpool 2. His upcoming film Boy Kills World where he’s the lead star.
