James Gunn reunites with Peacemaker cast members Freddie Stroma and Jennifer Holland and tours them on Superman Legacy set
Superman: Legacy director James Gunn has reunited with some of the cast members of his HBO series Peacemaker and even showed them around the set of the first DC Universe movie too.
Gunn who is also spearheading the new DC Universe film franchise together with Peter Safran posted a photo on his Instagram account having a selfie with Freddie Stroma and Jennifer Holland (who also happens to be his wife). Apparently, the two visited Gunn on the set and Gunn then graciously gave them the tour.
And the director knew that people would probably jump on that so he clarified that the two are not going to appear in the new Superman movie he’s directing. Tracking back to his past statements, he did say that he will continue and do Peacemaker season 2 still with John Cena and the two cast members are also likely to return. Stroma who played Vigilante in the HBO series had a great run in Peacemaker season 1 so no way Gunn’s going to get rid of a good thing.
But we could be wrong and it could be a misdirection. For one, Holland’s character in the DC Universe has become synonymous with government dealings and if Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller isn’t around in a movie, we could see Holland’s Emilia Harcourt. We already saw her in Black Adam remember?
As it stands though the Superman: Legacy cast includes:
David Corenswet – Clark Kent/ Superman
Rachel Brosnahan – Lois Lane
Nicholas Hoult – Lex Luthor
Skyler Gisondo – Jimmy Olsen
Milly Alcock – Kara Zor-El / Supergirl
Nathan Fillion – Guy Gardner
Isabela Merced – Hawkgirl
Anthony Carrigan – Rex Mason / Metamorpho
Edi Gathegi – Mister Terrific
Sean Gunn – Maxwell Lord
Sara Sampaio – Eve Teschmacher
Maria Gabriela de Faria – Angela Spica / Engineer
