Jensen Ackles returns as Soldier Boy for The Boys Spinoff Gen V Cameo

Supernatural star Jensen Ackles is set to return to The Boys‘ spinoff Gen V as his character Soldier Boy via cameo.

Ackles recently appeared in a Supernatural fan convention where he also managed to let slip that he filmed a little bit of footage for Gen V, working together with Eric Kripke who also created the CW show Supernatural.

The actor also shared that his scenes for Gen V were improvised. Ackles says “He and I were just, like, we were spitballing ideas and workshopping literally in between takes and coming up with a whole variety of takes,”

In The Boys season 3 we see Soldier Boy cryogenically frozen after a climatic fight with the series lead and main bad guy Homelander (Anthony Starr). The frozen boy is now being watched by Grace Mallory. This means that the character can pop out at any time in future seasons or episodes of the series based on the comic book created by Garth Ennis and Darrick Robertson.

Gen V is an upcoming American superhero television series, developed by Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, and Eric Kripke, serving as a spin-off of The Boys by Kripke, and based on The Boys comic book story arc “We Gotta Go Now” by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
