Godzilla Minus One images and trailer now online

We have a couple of new stuff for Godzilla Minus One, a new Japanese Godzilla in the works.

The film is set for release December 1 in Japan and is written and directed by Takeshi Yamazaki. The movie will be released first week of November in Japan and then gets a global release for December. Hopefully one of the local film distributors picks it up and we get a major release in the Philippines.

We also have several still images focusing on the big G himself – Godzilla.

The movie is set in a vaguely described “post-war Japan” with the country coming together to stop the monster from attacking.

I’m more curious how this will fit into the general Godzilla timeline whether it’s a remake of the original Godzilla movie or something else.

Also it looks like this isn’t going to be a direct sequel to the awesome Shin Godzilla from a few years ago. That’s both cool and confusing.

And in case you’re wondering, this isn’t connected to our other favorite version of Big G from Legendary Studios because that Titan will be teaming up with King Kong for next year’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
