Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars moved to 2026 and 2027
Looks like there will be a big delay for a number of Marvel movies led by Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. It’s been announced that this film and Avengers: Secret Wars moved to 2026 and 2027 respectively due to a number of factors.
According to various sources, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is now set for release May 2026 while the final penultimate chapter for this saga, Avengers: Secret Wars would be hitting cinemas May 2027.
Sources have various reasons but honestly the only legit reason for the delay is the ongoing Writer’s Strike aka the WGA strike. That strike has already affected the production of various Marvel Studios films including Thunderbolts which was supposed to start filming before the strike.
Luckily for us Deadpool 3 and Captain America 4 formerly Captain America: New World Order and now officially titled Captain America: Brave New World
We are still a long way to go before we reach The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars so its already expected to get moved around. It’s also no surprise that the studio didn’t make a big fuss or release a press release about this because this is also a normal thing.
Plus there’s also the issue Kang the Conqueror actor Jonathan Majors is currently facing and the speculation of what Disney would do next. This is a pretty big deal too because the entire Multiverse saga is resting on the villain Kang which, in all honesty, is already growing on me with Majors as the main face(s) for the time-travelling bad guy.
