KNOWLEDGE CHANNEL MEDIA LIBRARY REACHES MORE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS IN LUZON

Public school students in Central Luzon and Batangas will now have access to more than 1,500 curriculum-based video lessons through the Knowledge Channel Portable Media Library and Knowledge TV that will help improve learning and understanding of fundamental subjects for Kinder to Grade 10 students.

Through a partnership between Aboitiz Power Corp. (AboitizPower) and Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (Aboitiz Foundation), teachers from rural areas will no longer have a hard time looking for materials and visual resources to support their lesson aid.

“Accessibility to learning is a common challenge across public schools in the country. We thank our partners from various industries and KCFI for helping us leverage multimedia resources and innovative tools to help improve the quality and accessibility of education,” said AboitizPower first vice president – head of retail, James Byron Yu.

Along with the educational tools, in-person and virtual technical training were conducted to help equip teachers to maximize the materials they received to help engage their students and make learning fun and easy.

“Even with limited resources, KCFI continues to reach as many teachers and students in the country by creating materials and video lessons that are aligned with the DepEd curriculum. We need partners like AboitizPower and Aboitiz Foundation who share the same goal with us in providing quality education to the learners,” said KCFI president and executive director Rina Lopez.

Partner schools include Gat Andres Bonifacio Elementary School, Santiago National High School, Baliuag Central School, Rufino A. Cruz Memorial Elementary School, Gat Francisco Balagtas High School,  Josephine Khonghun SPED Center, Mariveles National High School Batangas II, and Barangay 17 Child Development Center Day.
