New Star Wars movie set 15 years after sequel trilogy brings back Daisy Ridley’s Rey Skywalker
This year’s Star Wars Celebration made a big announcement and brought back a controversial character in the form of Rey aka Rey Skywalker.
According to Kathleen Kennedy who was also in attendance for the panel, there will be a new Star Wars movie set 15 years after the events of the sequel trilogy aka Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
No details have been dropped other than a story beat which says that the movie will revolve around Rey rebuilding the New Jedi Order.
And it kind of makes sense because she’s done a lot as a character from The Force Awakens all the way to Rise of Skywalker. She went on a feud with Ben Solo aka Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and defeated the threat of Emperor Palpatine once and for all with the help of past Jedi Masters.
At the end of Rise of Skywalker however it was unclear what she was going to do with her life considering she was the last Jedi in the Galaxy. Now it’s clear that she will restart the Jedi order.
