Keep COVID-19 away from kids this back-to-school season

Last August, schoolchildren were finally able to return to face-to-face classes after two years of quarantine and lockdown restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with it came the news that certain protocols would be lifted or become optional, such as masking.

But according to Dr. Guido David from the OCTA Research Group[1], it is “very possible that there will be an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases when the children go back to school”.

However, he does not recommend keeping the students from going. Instead, he suggests following the standard safety measures, such as proper air ventilation and physical distancing. He also urged adult figures, such as parents, teachers, and school staff, to be vaccinated against the virus.

Apart from this risk, students also have to deal with the rainy season. Because of the cold, damp weather, children are more prone to developing common cold symptoms, such as runny nose, allergies, asthma and cough.[2] This may make them more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus.

In order to protect children from these highly likely scenarios, it is important to be aware of the treatments that are available for it, such as Lagundi (Vitex negundo L.). Not only has Lagundi been clinically proven to relieve cough, asthma, and other respiratory diseases, it also acts as a preventive measure against severe COVID-19 symptoms.

Lagundex is a mucolytic, broncho-dilating, over-the-counter drug that utilizes the medical properties of Lagundi to treat mild to moderate cough safely and without side effects, and improve the symptoms of mild COVID-19 patients.[3] It is also proven safe for kids ages 2 and up.

The rainy season and face-to-face classes do not need to keep children from experiencing student life to the fullest. By following standard safety protocols and using medically-approved treatments, children can return to school without any worries.

Distributed exclusively by New Marketlink Pharmaceutical Corporation (NMPC), Lagundex is

available in drugstores nationwide and comes in tablet and syrup form. To know more about
