Chris Hemsworth teases production start for Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa with Anya Taylor-Joy
Actor Chris Hemsworth has teased the start of production for George Miller‘s Mad Max: Fury Road prequel titled Furiosa which will star Anya Taylor-Joy as a young Furiosa decades before the events of Fury Road.
The Thor star posted this on his Twitter page:

According to reports, Hemsworth won’t be playing a younger version of Immortan Joe but rather a new character, a new villain for Taylor-Joy’s Furiosa.
Sadly we won’t be seeing Charlize Theron or Tom Hardy here but I’m hoping we get easter eggs or references to Fury Road when the film rolls into theaters May 24, 2024.
