Is Baizhu becoming a playable character in Genshin Impact?

Here’s a look at an unconfirmed character page for one of the rumored new playable characters for Mihoyo/ Hoyoverse’s massively popular game Genshin Impact in the form of the herbalist Baizhu.

The herbalist is usually found in Liyue harbor and has appeared in a number of missions. He is usually seen as a mild-manner, weird individual who also happens to take care of “zombie girl” herself, Qiqi. Paimon and Baizhu’s pet snake have also some nice interactions through the various missions the game has released through the years. We barely know what the guy can do but I’d like to think that might end up being a 4-star character like other familiar characters in the game like Ningguang.

If Baizhu does end up becoming a playable character, Qiqi would have a meta partner. Also if Baizhu is a playable character down the road, he could be the first ever Dendro element character in the game which will be an interesting dynamic for the character.

Of course you have to take this with a grain of salt. Maybe Hoyoverse could pull a bait and switch at any time. There is still time before we get to Genshin Impact version 2.7. We are currently at Genshin Impact version 2.6 which introduces new character, the 5 star Kamisato Ayato and a new location in Teyvat, the mysterious The Chasm. Check out the v 2.6 trailer below:
