Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo bringing back Nightwing’s finger stripe design for Nightwing # 88
Tom Taylor seems to be hitting a record high these days from generating buzz on Jonathan Kent’s outing as bisexual for Superman: Son of Kal-El # 5 and now bringing back the classic Nightwing finger stripe design in the pages of the upcoming Nightwing # 88 issue.
Check out the art that was previewed today from writer Tom Taylor and artist Bruno Redondo after the cut.
Here’s what Bruno Redondo wrote on his Twitter together with the image:
Full suit design (saving some detail). Yes, it might be the less brave Re-design I ever did, but don’t believe in fix something that’s not broken… but mixing different stages details with some self adjustments here and there? Dick’s way @TomTaylorMade @DCComics #Nightwing pic.twitter.com/RJr2MLFmYx

And here’s what Tom Taylor wrote:
Here it is. The suit #Nightwing will be wearing from issue #88 on. Yes, finger stripes! It may also have a surprise or two…
And don’t forget, final order cutoff for our 1st collection is this Sunday. Preorder with your local comic store.@Bruno_Redondo_F @thedcnation pic.twitter.com/WFutN7Nu4m— Tom Taylor (@TomTaylorMade) October 14, 2021
We definitely came a long way from when they debuted the Nightwing New 52 design which has been a decade already.
