6 Things we need to see for Squid Game Season 2
Here are 6 Things we need to see for Squid Game Season 2 which hopefully Netflix would fast track and produce! It’s now streaming on Netflix!
The popular TV series was directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk and stars Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun, Park Hae-soo as Cho Sang-woo, Jung Ho-yeon as Kang Sae-byeok, O Yeong-su as Oh Il-nam, Heo Sung-tae as Jang Deok-su, Anupam Tripathi as Abdul Ali, Kim Joo-ryoung as Han Mi-nyeo, Wi Ha-joon as Hwang Jun-ho.
So before we dive into this list, let me get my trusty SPOILER ALERT
1. Seong Gi-hun actually returns to the game simple and clean
Here’s the thing. While its definitely sure that Gi-Hun would return there could be a twist here like what western TV series loves doing with their characters. What we want to see is Gu-Hun waking up in a new game with new characters and a clear goal of dismantling the games from the inside.
2. Hwang Jun-ho returns to the island
Poor police office Hwang Jun-Ho spent most of the season evading the organization and getting clues about the Squid Game only to be shot by his own brother as he’s revealed to be the enigmatic Front Man. But does it really end for Jun-Ho? While it was clear he was shot, we never did see a body so there’s a chance that he could be back for Squid Game season 2.
3. Front Man taking over
Front Man could take over as head of the Korean branch of the games. It would be interesting to see what changes he would be implementing into the game especially since the old man’s already dead by the end of season 1.
Will he be revamping the games or replacing the games that made the seriee famous. Will he add more twists? Remember this guy tweaked the fifth game a little bit when Gi-Hun and the surviving players found a way to determine which glass was tampered glass and which one was not.
4. Red Light, Green Light part two
The first game set the pedestal for the series high and it got popular real quick with memes popping out days after the series premiered on Netflix. We hope to see this back again hopefully with very little changes. This could actually be used to elevate Gi-Hun as a leader for the players, seeing that he knows how it will go down, which in turn could be used to permanently take down the deadly game.
5. The VIPs get their comeuppance
In season one, viewers gets introduced to the VIPs with Jun-Ho even ending up almost getting molested by one of the burly VIPs. They were there during the glass jumping game that whittled down the players as well as at the sixth game aka Squid Game between Gi-Hun and Cho Sang-woo. So its pretty obvious that they would be returning for the unannounced second season of Squid Game. This is the reason this entry is very specific. We want to see their karma. We want to see their karma for even thinking of supporting these games and betting on human life like a bunch of “horses” in the horse racing track. Maybe when Gi-Hun makes his move and finally finds a way to break from the game we’ll get to see these pricks get what’s coming to them.
6. More big name cameos
Goblin and Train to Busan star Gong Yoo had a nice cameo in this series as the recruiter. Why not take things up a notch by adding more characters that has ties with the game. How bout a member of BlackPink or a member of BTS to really make fans go crazy? At this point, the series is going to be a priority by people in the industry plus its also got the backing of Netflix so it means that money may not be an issue anymore.
So there you have it, 6 Things we need to see for Squid Game Season 2. So please Netflix, please confirm the second season already! We’ll patiently wait for this too!
