The Darkhold Alpha # 1 Spoilers – Spidey and other Heroes gets turned into body horror characters called the Darkhold Defiled

Here’s the biggest The Darkhold Alpha # 1 spoilers from last week’s book written by Steve Orlando with art by Cian Tormey!

So for those that are not aware, this is a limited crossover event that brings characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Blade the Vampire Hunter, The Wasp and the Inhuman king Black Bot in the mystical world of the Darkhold in an event instigated by Doctor Doom which also involves the Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff.

In this particular issue, Scarlet Witch is drawn to the Darkhold being tampered with and meets Doctor Doom and Victorious. Wanda tries to talk Victor Von Doom out of going inside the world beyond the Darkhold but fails. Using the power cosmic inside Victorious, Wanda manages to summon five heroes who could go and save Doom and stop whatever cosmic horror is beyond the book.

A badly beaten and wounded Doctor Doom returns and tells them to do as they wish and Scarlet Witch lets these heroes read a portion of the Darkhold. Turns out they read more than that was required and the effects are almost instantaneous.

Just like that these heroes gets transformed into monstrous and horrific versions of themselves, heavily influenced by the look of the world they were getting ready to go to.

I’m particularly creeped out by the new look Iron Man got with massive fleshy things growing way out of his armor. To be fair though, I did like the black and red motiff they got.

We still don’t know if these are good guys or bad guys though. Maybe the one-shot stories could bring light into these transformed heroes. We can check out more in these one-shots as posted below:
