Twitter removing Fleet option soon

Twitter removing Fleet is such a surprise but something that is part of the changes the social media network is trying to do to make it fresh and relevant for users.

The whole Twitter removing Fleet from the app and the browser version will happen in a few weeks, specifically August 3.

Personally, fleet was just so-so for Twitter. Its honestly just a retooled and rebranded Instagram stories and that’s already something that we’ve already seen and used on social media platforms. And when one Twitter user asked why they were removing Fleet, the official Twitter account answered this:

Aww too bad.

Anyway, here’s to seeing their next new feature and here’s to hoping it gets popular real quick. Also on the concept of editing tweets, Twitter has been adamant that this will be a function that will never happen.
