Screenshot of Jolo Revilla calling Ferdinand Magellan a hero goes viral

There’s one very cringey screenshot going viral today featuring Jolo Revilla and him mistaking Ferdinand Magellan as a hero instead of Lapu Lapu.

In the Facebook post, he pays respect to “Magellan” for his bravery and his win at the Battle of Mactan 500 years ago. In truth though, that victory belongs to chieftain Lapu Lapu who repelled the first wave of would-be invaders in Mactan, Cebu. Many are quick to point out Revilla’s mistake and some commented harshly. Others simply corrected the post.
