My Hero Academia 309 shows new Deku costume to protect his identity
We catch up with My Hero Academia, particularly with My Hero Academia 309 where we get to see the new Deku costume that’s a mix of his previous costumes with new elements too.
Deku has officially dropped out of UA and left behind his classmates. Ever since he came back from the coma and meeting with the previous holders of One for All, Izuku Midoriya’s priorities in terms of being a hero has also shifted. His new costume is also a reflection of that new mindset. He’s also backed up by the top three heroes namely All Might, Endeavor and Hawks.
Check out the new Deku costume from My Hero Academia 309 below.
Costume Gamma is the base of the costume with some nice modifications here and there. The chapter also confirms that Deku is now able to use 45 percent of OFA and thats thanks to his current training to master all the additional stuff previously locked away.
The new Deku costume also allows Midoriya to go toe to toe with bigger and tougher villains who have all escaped together with Shigaraki and All for One.
He also pays tribute to the fallen hero Fran Torino by wearing the cape like a shawl. Kinda makes him look more of a badass to be honest.
The drawback here with Deku’s new costume is the fact that he’s hidden. Meaning all the captures and takedowns he does won’t be credited to him at all. Its a sort of thankless job, one thing that Hero Killer Stain was preaching about before.
