Transformers Minimates officially revealed
Diamond Select Toys has officially revealed the first wave of Transformers minimates featuring some of the most recognizable autobots and decepticons from the long running Hasbro franchise!

This wave will include:
- Starscream
- Optimus Prime
- Shockwave
- Bumblebee
Here’s the official product description for these figures from DST:
“The greatest generation of Transformers is now the next generation of Minimates! Capturing the armor details of four classic characters – Optimus Prime, Bumblebee Starscream and Shockwave – each 2-inch mini-figure features multiple points of articulation and is fully poseable. Painted in a metallic color scheme to mimic the original 1980s toy releases, this set of four comes packaged with weapons on a blister card. Designed by Barry Bradfield.”
I swear I threw a lot of money on these figures back in the day but because of how Funko was able to secure their price point of just under $10 for their products versus the standard price of minimates sets which were around $30, I lost interest in the line. Plus the resale value has drastically lowered over the years.
But you still can’t match the quality of the products and how well made these figures are especially for the Marvel Minimates. I seem to remember still seeing tie-in stuff for films like Black Widow before the pandemic hit. Don’t know whether they already hit stores or not.
