HBO Max Green Lantern series rumored to start production April 2021
Rumors are swirling that the HBO Max Green Lantern series is rumored to start production by April 2021!
According to rumors, the show is set to start production by April 12, 2021 with the cast and crew expected to go under the production bubble.
The website ProductionList.com has shared an unconfirmed synopsis for the show and it says:
The Green Lantern Corps is an outer-space law-enforcement agency aided by each members’ individual power ring that grants the wearer abilities based on the strength of their own willpower. Follows the adventures of a multitude of Lanterns, including Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, and Alan Scott – Earth’s first Green Lantern, who, true to the comics, is a gay man – and many more.
Strangely, the listing also refers to this production as a “feature film,” but this is almost definitely the HBO Max Green Lantern series, as it matches previous descriptions of the show.
It’s also been revealed that classic Green Lantern villain Sinestro is also set to appear in the show. Unclear whether its going to be as an antagonist already or a fallen Green Lantern corpsman. I would personally prefer that we see Sinestro go through the hoops and eventually fall from grace.
It was announced back in October that a Green Lantern series has already been ordered by HBO Max with Marc Guggenheim and Seth Grahame-Smith working together as executive producers and co-writers. Seeing that HBO and Warner Bros has already put their faith on Zack Snyder once more with the upcoming release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League set to air by March 2021. And as previously revealed, Snyder had already planted the seeds for the appearance of A Green Lantern in the film which may or may not end up in the final product.
