“ASAP Natin ‘To” and “FPJ: Da King” to air on TV5 starting this weekend

In a ballsy move, ABS-CBN has officially confirmed that their long running Sunday variety show ASAP Natin ‘To is going to air on TV5.

On the TV5 Facebook page, they wrote:

We warmly welcome “ASAP Natin ‘To” sa TV5!
The concert party begins ngayong January 24, 12 NN on TV5! #ASAPonTV5

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s social media page also released an official statement regarding the airing of their variety show on TV5.

Of course this partnership wouldn’t have happened if Cignal wasn’t involved. The company sort of took ABS-CBN under its wing when it lost its franchise in 2020. TV5 has welcomed a lot of production crew and talents from ABS-CBN and even ushered in new shows for them to work on. Its a little sad though that some of these shows have already been cancelled namely  “Sunday Noontime Live,” “I Got You” and “Sunday Kada”.

What do you think of this recent development? It looks like months after their franchise was terminated by Congress, the Kapamilya channel is gradually picking up the pace and dare I say, outsmarting the people that removed their franchise and permit to operate.
