Captain America villain Flag-Smasher also set to appear in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Thanks to new promotional images that have leaked online, we can now confirm that the classic Captain America villlain the Flag-Smasher will also appear in the Disney Plus series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.

This series is setting us up for more political thrillers with the inclusion of Daniel Bruhl’s Baron Zemo and a potential heel turn by Wyatt Russell’s USAgent aka John Walker. There’s still that pesky Omega Red connection some fans are trying to get out also. And now we get the Flag Smashers which is plural; a terrorist cell most likely as opposed to just a single person.

In the comics though, there were only two people known as Flag Smasher and they ended up both fighting Captain America. These are Karl Morgenthau and Guy Thierrault. Among the two, Karl Morgenthau has a connection with US Agent aka John Walker. And because this could be a new organization, this could lead to some more great action sequences involving Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier and Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson aka The Falcon. Hell they could even bring in Zemo in that action sequence.
