This year’s Pokemon Go Halloween 2020 celebration will feature doubled candy and a lot of ghost-type Pokemon. The new event will star October 23 until November 3. In a nutshell, there’s a higher concentration of ghost type Pokemon during these dates. Players can also expect their candies doubled during this timeframe.

In terms of aesthetics, we can also expect to see ghost types Sableye and Gengar will be wearing costumes. Sableye will be appearing more in eggs and in the wild while Gengar is expected to appear in raids. Galarian Yamask will also debut in the game and can be obtained when players complete a set of tasks called “A Spooky Message Unmasked”.

Lastly, Mega Gengar is set to debut in the game as well. And you’ll be able to get this Pokemon by collecting enough Gengar Mega Energy by doing Timed Research.
