Empyre Aftermath Avengers Reveals tragic end of Hulkling Alliance Empire
Marvel’s Empyre has officially ended and while it ends in a happy note for most of the characters that have appeared in it, not everything will end up happy especially the current “Alliance” that Hulkling created fusing the Kree and the Skrull empires together.
In the pages of Empyre Aftermath Avengers # 1, written by Al Ewing with art by Valerio Schiti, its revealed that former SWORD director and current Alpha Flight second-in-command Abigail Brand is very pissed that Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers snubbed the organization especially feeding them data about the Cotati which cost billions of property damage and lives. And she wants accountability for Danvers’ action.
All of this was done in front of Hulkling aka Dorrekk VIII and his husband, Wiccan.
She was so pissed off at Danvers’ actions she even made a big diss on the Avengers…
Later in the story, its revealed in a flash forward that this mighty and shiny new “Alliance” Hulkling built will be run to the ground by a returning Brand and a bunch of mysterious allies.
What caused Brand to turn heel in the end of Empyre Aftermath Avengers # 1? Who are those mysterious new allies of her?
