Relive the Day Jason Todd Died with New Trailer for DC Showcase – Batman: Death in the Family

DC Comics and Warner Bros are keen on reminding fans the hows and whys of Jason Todd going from Batman’s sidekick Robin to the brutal and deadly Red Hood with the new DVD title DC Showcase – Batman: Death in the Family.

This will be a retelling of the “Death in the Family” storyline which sees the death of the second Robin, Jason Todd at the hands of The Joker. And it even follows the same animation style as the 10 year old animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood which was also an adaptation of the story of the same title.

And you saw that right, this will be an interactive adventure where viewers can get to choose how things pan out. Like if you let Jason die, he ends up becoming the Red Hood or he gets saved and becomes Red Robin or something like that.

It’s more akin to the Black Mirror mini-movie Black Mirror: Bandersnatch which was really cool when it was released last year.

I’m also down to seeing Red Hood, Red Robin or even a character that’s very much like Hush.
