Margot Robbie in talks to star in new Pirates of the Caribbean Film

Harley Quinn herself, Margot Robbie, is in talks to star in a new film under the Pirates of the Caribbean film coming soon!

In a post shared by Cinemablend, its been revealed that Robbie would star in a spinoff movie flying under the ‘Pirates’ banner but not entirely connected to the story featuring Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. It looks like Disney still has plans for the the Pirates film franchise and will involve both a spin off and a reboot. You’ll recall that Disney has stated for the record that they are putting the film franchise on park mode after the performance of the last movie “Dead Men Tell No Takes” or Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge in SEA.

This untitled Pirates project starring Margot Robbie will be written by Bumblebee screenplay writer Christina Hodson which makes it more female empowered. Meanwhile the untitled and unannounced Pirates reboot movie will have “Chernobyl” writer Craig Mazin together with Ted Elliot, a known alum for the franchise.

So you can bank on more Disney pirates content in the next two to three years.
