Captain America Lifts Mjolnir – Fear Itself # 7

Because its a year since the release of Avengers: Endgame hit theaters, we take the time to take a look at that moment when Captain America lifts Mjolnir which happened in Fear Itself # 7.

So what happens in this issue is that Captain America breaks his shield, the Avengers go to Asgard while Steve protects Broxton from the forces of The Serpent and his “Worthy”, powered up villains with their own hammer. Later in the issue, the Avengers return as the Mighty with their own uru weapons together with Thor. Mjolnir gets thrown into the grown near Captain America.

Cap gets to his feet with the help of a civilian named Rick who his mistakes as Luke Cage.

It’s also a great tie-in to the whole message of “I Am an Avenger”.

This is a massive street battle with The good guys (The Mighty) battling the bad guys (The Worthy) together with HYDRA mechs and foot soldiers. Thor and his uncle The Serpent aka Cul Borson battle in the skies which ends in a double KO. Thor “dies” for a bit because that’s part of the prophecy.
