More Photos for S.H. Figuarts Great Ape Vegeta
Tamashi Nations has released more photos for their upcoming S.H. Figuarts Great Ape Vegeta, which looks to be the biggest figure to date.
The figure is going to be based on the Great Ape version of the saiyan Vegeta who invaded Earth in the first storyarc for Dragon Ball Z. This was around the time Goku and Vegeta met for the first time and Vegeta transforming to his Great Ape form totally changed the battle much to Goku’s detriment.
The S.H. Figuarts Great Ape Vegeta reportedly stands at 12.7″ tall. Great Ape Vegeta will use diecast pieces in the chest to support the arm weight, and click features in the ankles to keep the figure stabilized. The jaw is movable, and it will include a swap out face part with a battle damaged eye. Other accessories include swap out hands, two hands crushing Goku, a scaled Yajirobe, swap out regular and cut tails, and a dedicated figure stand.

They had me at the sheer size of the figure plus a movable jaw, perfect for animating scenes using this figure.
This would retail for around $150 and will be hitting stores August 2020 although that could be subject to change thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
