Batman Ninja Gets Stageplay in Japan

DC Comics’ Batman Ninja will be getting a stage play but it would exclusively run only in Japan.

The original DVD animated film was released in the US on April 2018 and in Japan June 2018 to moderate success.

Meanwhile reports say that the show will run from October 2020 to December 21.

The play will be officially called Batman Ninja: The Show and will be an adaptation of the film which sees Batman together with his allies and foes transported to feudal Japan where they wage was against each other with samurais and ninjas for a twist.
The character designer on Batman Ninja was Takashi Okazaki, whose past works include Afro Samurai, Summer Wars and Sound and Fury. The film was directed by Junpei Mizusaki with Tetsuro Satomi, Leo S. Chu and Eric Garcia all serving as producers. Batman Ninja is currently available on digital, Blu-ray and DVD.
