#GiveCreditsToZildBenitez is Trending thanks to Mundo Cover and Unique claiming sole credit

If you haven’t been paying attention to the local music scene, here’s a trending topic. The hashtag #GiveCreditsToZildBenitez is currently trending due to a recent calling out involving the song “Mundo”.

So here’s the super short version of this story. Viva recently released a cover version of IV of Spades’ “Mundo” as performed by Raphiel Shannon for the film On Vodka, Beers and Regrets which starred Jane Oineza and RK Bagatsing.

As you can see, Unique Salonga having sole song writing credits for the song did not sit well with the fans.

Here’s a closer look…

The short story for this is that IV of Spades got major push thanks to this song and their very unique musical style and look. After sometime, Unique Salonga splits from the group and starts a solo career.

It’s not sure how this would go down or resolve but it would look like this was going to a long drawn story. Hopefully though, all party gets resolution.
